The arbor inn was very “okay”. Our room had a fireplace which was nice but it can’t totally turn off so it is always emitting at least a little bit of heat which would need to be offset with the AC. The fan in the bathroom was broken so mildew and mold built up where the shower was but not to the point of being any major concern to us especially since we didn’t actually spend a whole lot of time in the room, no less the bathroom. There is also an interesting check-in/check-out experience with a customer service rep who talks to you through a small “robot” in the corner. But if you’re looking for a room to keep your things and sleep in - this does the job for not *too* bad of a price.

I booked last minute because I had to change hotels. The other hotel had no A/C and the room was 90 degrees. Check in was easy, checked in late and they had a computer monitor that checked me in. The first room we had the ac wasn't working, they quickly moved us into a larger room that was nice and the ac worked. Not much amenities but the hotel is clean and quiet. Definitely recommend.

It was a cute room and although I thought we weren't near anything, it turns out there is a huge, amazing mall walking distance. It isn't near downtown though. We had a fireplace king, and the room was huge, which we liked. The bed was comfy, but we have been to Monterey a couple times recently lately and are wondering what's up with the half sized pillows? We will bring our own, since we can drive down. I can't say there was any staff, we were greeted by a talking kiosk--our first time for that. lol.

Great stay, the staff was very nice and helpful. Great location as it is close to the outdoor mall with restaurants and a movie theater. Also close to fast food places. I like the patio chairs outside the rooms so you can still relax in the fresh air. Would stay here again.

This is a nice clean little hotel at a reasonable price! Perfectly fit our needs for two days in Monterey! Rooms were very clean and front desk. Staff was very nice. Free parking and handy to everything we needed! I would stay here again! No breakfast, but it was perfect for our needs!
