A lovely comfortable stay in Bordeaux. Fabrice was a wonderful host gave us recommendations for our trip and provided a breakfast each morning - croissants, bread, yoghurt, tea and coffee. Beautiful guest house

Beautiful guest house in Bordeaux. Fabrice was delightful, very helpful and kind. The room was gorgeous, clean with kettle, coffee maker, fridge, microwave and even a dishwasher. A great establishment where you can come and go as you please. Fabrice was kind enough to allow us to leave our cases there on our last day due to late flights. Would stay here again.

Hôtels.com hasn’t provided proper and sufficient information regarding this hotel’s payment issue. This hotel does not accept any credit cards or bank cards which is very uncommon and inconvenient nowadays. Hope it will change sooner than later.

I'm Perplexed By The Great Reviews L'Invitation au Voyage could have been great. The location is fairly close to Bordeaux's major landmarks. Our room was quaint, bright, with high ceilings and French doors looking out to the street. What brings down the offering is well worn, rough towels and not much service for the price. No maid service, etc., for four nights in our case. I'm equally baffled by reviews talking about a great breakfast, which factored into my choice. A basket with a croissant and a few pieces of bread and preserves: A small container of yogurt and coffee don't constitute even a continental breakfast. It also isn't available until 8:30 AM, many tours meet up at 9:00 AM. They cite “health measures“ for the absence of room cleaning, but every other hotel and B&B have figured it out. Service is the value proposition for B&Bs. I've noticed the proprietor's combative responses to criticism, quoting terms spelled out in emails after non-refundable deposits are made. I only received it 3 days prior to arrival. I know that it was the first time, as all correspondence is stored on the booking platform.

Great stay in a vibrant, diverse, stunning city.

A comfortable, cosy stay in a tastefully decorated, characterful room that made the best use of the available space. All of the necessary facilities were provided. Great central location, close to the main arterial, inner city pedestrian boulevards - shops, eateries, history, riverside. A brilliant start point to explore all that this city of culture and diversity has to offer, on foot or by tram. The house environment is very tranquil but open the door to the street of this historic property and you are amidst the Bordelaise vibrancy immediately. Fabrice's warm hospitality and information on the city was exceptional. Secure, nominated, closeby parking was a great bonus. A great stay. We will return. Highly recommended.
