Great location to Central Station and Gamla Stan. Easy access to buses and trams. Loved the bird tiles in the showers and the rooms are beautiful and comfy. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Staff were always helpful and friendly especially housekeeping and Ahmed, one of the bartenders. He was great with everyone. We all enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was in the most walking and travel convenient area of Stockholm. A 20 minute airport train from Arlanda to Stockholm central where you can catch trains, trams, and buses to the best places. All the hotel staff were super sweet and helpful. The bar and restaurants had the most delicious food and drink with generous servers. The nighttime bartender at Americain was especially sweet and spoke with us until closing making the best drinks. The rooms were aesthetically appealing and cozy, especially the beautiful shower! Thank you for making our stay so perfect!

Breakfast was fab, we had a window facing the square, enormous room, so much space. Probably due a touch up, looked like it needed a paint refresh here and there, but otherwise super clean and spacious. Bed was comfy, we had a bathtub which we made use of. Effective blackout curtains too. Couple of small things were we were directly above the bar and the music was quite loud, but never interfered with sleep. Also the fabulous wardrobe hid the coffee/kettle, there was not much surface space to use it and no plug so had to use it on the small dressing table. When using the full length mirror it was in the way of the bathroom door, which was only a problem as we were getting dressed up for an event. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Title: Dreadful experience – Serious safety, security, and room defects Rating: 1 / 5 Stars ​Review: ​We had a dreadful stay at Haymarket by Scandic over the weekend. ​First, our room had two single beds pushed together with an uncomfortable gap in between. Far worse, however, was the room's automatic door, which kept opening on its own throughout the weekend. On Sunday night around 11:30 PM, the door opened by itself once again. My wife suffers from severe PTSD following a break-in a number of years ago, and because of this safety failure, she was unable to sleep for two consecutive nights. When we raised the issue with the night manager, we learned that this had actually been a known recurring problem. While they eventually moved us to another room on Sunday night, the distress had already been done. ​To make matters worse, on Monday morning, a homeless individual wandered freely through the breakfast dining area. There was no security on site to handle the situation—only kitchen staff stepped in to escort him out. ​When we spoke with the Hotel Manager, Farid, his attitude was condescending, aloof, and devoid of any genuine apology. After completely failing on basic hotel security and guest wellbeing I cannot recommend staying here. It is truly dreadful.
