The Glacier Room as conveniently located and the room was comfortable and felt homey with antique furnishings. The shower is very small. There is no kitchen, just a microwave and coffee maker. They did provide a breakfast basket with basics (sausage egg biscuit, apple juice, apple and cheese stick). Overall, we found it to be comfortable for a short stay.

Pros- extremely convenient to Mount Rainier national Park, gave us a nice breakfast basket to start our day. Very close to Mt Ranier, so we went n first night and caught the sunset at Paradise. Cons- after flushing, our toilet sang to us, we had to walk up a very steep flight of stairs and a ramp to get to our room with our luggage, bedding not comfortable, don’t know if it was the floor or the bed that had the slant. Very small room. Couldnt figure out the tv (Roku).

The room was fine but hauling a heavy suitcase up a ton of stairs when I’m solo traveling is not the most convenient. (I almost fell the stairs are very small). I don’t remember reading a description about it when I booked the room. I would just say if they can update the website and let people know there’s no elevator and you may have a room upstairs would be a great idea. The room also had a very strange smell to it and the pillows are pretty much nonexistent. I really had a completely fine stay but I want others to have a realistic review to consider before booking. The location you couldn’t beat and I got coffee at Rise & Grind right down the road less than 10 minutes - Best coffee of the entire trip.

This is a review for room #5. The private bathroom is across the hall is clean but a bit inconvenient but clean and spacious. Great stay over for hikers. If you’re allergic to dust bring your own dust cloth. The bed was very comfortable. The window air conditioner was a bit noisy and prohibited opening the window for fresh air. The patio and fish pond are excellent. Great place to enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. Nice sized lounge area provides games and DVDS for your room which comes with DVD player. There are also lots of tables and piano in the lounge area. Conveniently located between a small variety of restaurants. Quiet and charming Victorian style facility.

Alexander Inn was the perfect place to go for a quiet personal retreat. The room was small but well appointed with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. This was very much appreciated since the dining out options were very slim. The staff person was very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to check in before the appointed time. The backyard was quiet and peaceful and I felt well entertained by the enormous trout in their little lake. I would definitely go back.

Be prepared to not find anyone at the office, but someone will show up once you call their number and leave a message. Very old mansion that needs much TLC. Staff once accessible, are very friendly and helpful. Canceling a reservation is very difficult, as they demand a 14 day notice. The cabin we were given had a lot of standard amenities, but just not enough and very small.

The Inn and grounds have nice possibilities, but needs better care. Staff friendly.

We stayed at their Salal Cabin which is brand new & sits back in the woods. It is so adorable & comfortable. It has a fantastic heater system that keeps you the ideal temperature. The furnishings are so lovely. The reception staff was so kind & even provided us breakfast for the next day since there are no food establishments close by. The property is so beautiful with a pond & seating area to relax & enjoy the ducks & fish jumping. We will absolutely be returning. It is so close to Mt. Rainier entrance; we got into the park in minutes.
