From now on anytime I need to travel to Gävle this is my go to hotel. Even if Hotels.com say there are no rooms i will call them direct just to make sure. The hotel is that good. My hotel staff member, Nova is a credit to the hotel, friendly, knowledgeable and made my stay easier. Parking is easy, the breakfast is great and they make a free evening meal as well that is by far the best I've had at a hotel. They also have a pool and sauna for relaxing after a long day working or enjoying the sights. A must stay whenever I travel to Gävle.

Friendly straff, newly renovated room, good breakfast for the price. Dinner was not worth it though and one evening the chef and others were sick so housekeeping did the food. Did the best they could but either way-both evenings the food was 2/10. But for the price and being included- worth it!

Very nice staff, good and plentiful breakfast and an excellent dinner. Everything including the spa and pool area was top notch. Directly connected to O'Leary from the foyer was an extra plus ;) . There was several sitting areas for chilling and even a separate, well equipped children's room. A great stop while avoiding the traffic around Stockholm when travelling through the country, thought it's definitely a good stay for the closnes to skiing, and hiking etc.

Trevligt och centralt hotell, vänlig och hjälpsam personal, samt mycket bra frukostbuffé. Middagen ganska påver, med "fish and chips" klart under förväntan. Istället för en bra bit fisk i friterad smördeg fick man en panerad bit torr fiskfärsburgare. Ett glas vitt vin, snålt tilltaget, var också förhållandevis dyrt.

Smedjan är ett speciellt fint hotell . Dom har kvar en hel del gamla inredningsdelar som gör stark mysig känsla. Billig parkering 95 kr . Jättefin frukost . Och sist men inte minst en så fin , varm pool utan extra kostnad. Dessa saker ihop gör Smedjan till vårt favorithotell !! Och vi har testat många. Dessutom är Sandviken en fin mysig stad.
