For starters, we had noticed earlier in the day(10am) that check in was at 4:00 and our schedule made that a little tight so we reached out to see if we could check in early rather than checking in after our plans. I tried to contacted them via telephone multiple times and through the Hotels.com app and received no reply.  Once we arrived at the property, later at night then we would have preferred, it was pointed out that the local food venues should be closing shortly and we should make sure to get out to get dinner. When we were able to come back to settle in we were disappointed in the condition of the room. There where overused outlets, which we considered a safety hazard, the outlet in the bathroom didn't have a cover plate, several light bulb sockets with no bulbs, and when we went to crawl into bed, the sheets were filthy (on both beds) and we ended up sleeping on top of the blankets until very early in the morning when we had to leave. The bathroom was also filthy, hair in the shower and all over the sink.  I was very surprised that a hotel that had an 8.4 star rating would be this filthy. It's really a shame because the lobby gave me the impression it was going to be a neat place to stay.
