Great place for outdoor winter activities.

10/10 Exceptional

We loved staying in the tea house cottage with our infant. Lots of room, beautiful space, quiet. We stayed in early September and enjoyed the beach and some light hiking. We've also stayed here in the winter for skiing/snowshoeing. A great resort!

Love the updates - new bathrooms/linens and also love that the old Adirondack feel of the Lodge remains the same. Trail conditions were good, ski center staff super helpful and we had some excellent dinners at the restaurant.
Virginia, 3-night trip

Such a beautiful old rustic lodge , everyone of the staff was patient , kind and very accommodating. We were not able to ski due to the snow conditions but that gives me another reason to visit again .

I’ve been here 4 years ago, amazing location, great service, I will comeback!! If you want to go away form city and enjoy quiet and beautiful nature this is the place, either you want to enjoy the views and fresh air or you want to do some activities which Garnet Hill lodge provides free kayaks, Canoas and bikes for the quests. I recommend!

This was our second year spending Thanksgiving Holiday at Garnet Hill. As always, the staff are superb and friendly and the food is very good. Room comfortable. We had a small issue with toilet but since my husband is handy, he made the two fixes easily!
Nancy, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Old school hotel, kind of like an Adirondack camp. Bed was very comfortable and surroundings very quiet. Decor very rustic and camp like. The staff was very nice and friendly. Have a tv and billiard room to watch tv and movies with puzzles and board games. Very undeveloped surroundings so plan to hang out at the hotel in the evenings.
Eric, 2-night trip

Very nice mountain lodge room with a balcony and a view of a lake.

This was a wonderful get-away find that I wish I could keep to myself. This Lodge has everything you could want; cozy clean updated rooms with a great view of the lake from your balcony, friendly engaging staff, delicious food so you don't have to leave for meals and close proximity to great hiking, private beach with kayaks and a activity center where you could rent different items based on the season. We loved it. Thank you so much!

Garnet Hill provided a very relaxing environment close to nature. The Tea House room was awesome, with separate spaces for sleeping and hanging out, plus a private sauna. How unique! Staff was great. Food yummyand generously portioned. They even made a special meal for us for our anniversary night. Don't expect a mainstream experience and you'll be impressed.
Terri, 4-night trip

lovely stay in the woods with trails available as well as indoor areas to relax and unwind
HARRIET, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Garnet Hill Lodge was perfect for our ski and snowboard getaway. The lodge staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. They made us feel right at home. Check in and check out were super easy. They have their own Nordic Ski trails which were awesome and the complimentary breakfast and sandwich bar for lunch were perfect for a day on the slopes. 10/10 would stay again.
Amanda, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My only complaint would be the breakfast buffet which is nowhere near as good as it used to bed. Excellent cold cuts were provided at breakfast since there is not lunch dining option. The renovated rooms are very nice.
Mary, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We stayed in January 2025. We loved the friendly, kind staff and the quaintness of the lodge. Sitting by the fire nightly reading and chatting with other guests was a highlight. The breakfast was fantastic! We also appreciated the bag lunch that we created before going out snowshoeing. We loved our room at the Tea House which was on the snowshoe trail. The room was great; could have used several more coat hooks for our towels and snow attire. We rented snowshoes on property at the Outdoor center. The staff was super helpful and nice! Snowshoed up the mountain, it was a spectacular view!! Would love to revisit in the summer!
Tammy, 3-night trip

Just lovely

Lovely property. Stayed in one of the “cabins.” It was a beautiful setting and comfy room. HOT Breakfast is included. The restaurant was great. They have a hangout area for the kids. The main lodge was like aspen ski vibes. Went cross country skiing and hiking. Great spot!
Amy, 2-night trip

Fred’s opinion

Family vaca to ski at Gore - great accommodations but not managed so well. Food was eh. Staff was lovely but not very efficient.
Kathy, 3-night trip

Two night stay end of August.Wonderful, old, classic Adirondack lodge with full buffet breakfast and ‘make your own’ sandwich fixings provided for lunch.Only complaint is slow dinner service due to lack of waitstaff. For outdoor enthusiasts, this place is for you.More hiking trails than you could ever imagine!
Norman, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great place with lots of character nestled in the woods and access to the thirteenth lake. Plenty of hiking trails at the lodge or nearby, and access to an on-site outdoor center where bikes can be rented. Food and service was wonderful.
