Rooms were recently renovated, but they kept the historical feel. Stepping into the lobby felt like going back in time with their impeccable conservation of original elements. Super charming and great location to explore all the great hiking spots around!

Granted its an old hotel, no television and very small rooms for the price is a bit ridiculous, a little over $200 a night. The lady that checked me in was very nice and the roo. Was clean but more like a cell thn a hotel room. They should be more descriptive in their rooms, it was very disappointing.

1925 hotel with a wonderful charm and history. The rooms are clean with new beds paint and new bathrooms. The hotel is in restoration mode but closely done. Can't wait to come here again and see again. Kim was our hotel host. Amazing.

The room itself was extremely clean and the hotel was charming. Breakfast was very simple - coffee, granola and milk, fruit, toast and jam - but it was $8 so about right. I wish there were more amenities available. There was no ice, no refrigerator or microwave in room, no hair dryer available at desk or in room. They're obviously recently renovated and working their way up. So for the price point you get a nice place to stay, but don't expect a 3 star hotel.

Nice remodel. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you are older, go first floor. No elevator. Takes you back in time. Very good experience. 27 nice rooms. Some rooms are small. Think I would go with a suite next time. Lots of fun things to do in the area. The town is short on amenities but Big Pine has good restaurants and is just a few minutes away.

Stay away from this hotel. Mold everywhere n the bathroom, dusty, no TV, fridge, no screen on the dirty window which is next to a giant cypress tree. The bathroom door did not close, no shelves in the bathroom, very small sink, no closet at all and poorly insulated. Air conditioning blows on the face and extremely small room. Pillows were fat and had to sleep on a towel. Felt like jail.

Albergo decadente stanze piccolissime, bagno improponibile con un wc una doccia e un piccolo lavello, nulla su cui appoggiare il beauty case. Stanza priva di frigirifero e armadio. Ho dovuto spostare il letto perché lo split del climatizzatore era proprio di fronte. I stayed here for one night. It was great to me, but I want you to know this before you stay in this hotel. This is a 101-year-old hotel as of 2026. I was quite satisfied with the hotel, but the satisfaction will depend on your expectation. The bathroom was small and the bathroom door was a sliding door without a sound-proof function. The breakfast was quite simple (cereal, milk, tangerines, bread, tea/coffee). Squeaky floor. However, the AC was ice-cold. The hotel is full of old stuffs I loved. A beautiful old piano. I could feel the age of the hotel and I loved it.
