We were shocked when we drove up, the place looked like such a dump, security warnings and cameras everywhere. The lobby was so dark it was scary. But the front desk person was an absolute delight!! She was so kind and helpful and wonderful. The room inside was nicely renovated, with a great bathroom. One bed was super firm, and one bed was super mushy and soft... neither of us slept well! Again, kudos to the wonderful desk woman at check in and check out.

We had an excellent stay at the pinewood before heading out on a camping trip. The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were brand new and clean. Comfortable beds, bright clean bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel is also fantastic. Very friendly staff

We had a nice stay. The room and linens were clean. A/C worked well. Although, We didn't feel 100% safe in our room because the front window was broken from the inside. (Glass was in large shards still in the frame) We did report it to front desk and they already knew about it. I didn't like that you can hear other units toilets flush and showers. Regardless of that, it was a pleasant enough stay.

Great stay here. My only thing to note is the lower cost room was upstairs and no elevator. I was able to bring our stuff up, but I could see some people really have a challenge if they didn't know in advance. Room was renovated and very clean. Great shower, convenient location for the early ferry. Tim Hortons and McDonalds close by. Would stay again.
