We stayed in the family room #7 on the top floor, which was very spacious. Amenities are spare—eg, just Keurig coffee maker in the room, no tea or hot cocoa—and no staff on site but overall comfortable. Our sink and shower were a little clogged and they were very responsive and quick to address it. Luggage storage was convenient. The hotel is well situated right outside the touristy areas so the street was calm and quiet but close to everything. We had a nice stay!

Clean, comfortable, conveniently located. Be aware that upstairs rooms require carrying luggage up a narrow, steep, winding spiral staircase, and there’s no assistance. Really inconvenient not to have a front desk person.

We booked at the last minute and the Auberge was one of the very few hotels we could find but the rate was a lot for what we got which was no service. However, we liked the location because it was very close to most of the main attractions in a safe area. Although we knew from reviews that the Auberge did not have an elevator we found it very difficult hauling luggage up and down because of the narrow spiral staircase. Better lighting and rails on one side are also needed on the stairs. It is difficult to see at night. The luggage room is on the third floor which is even more demanding to carry luggage up there. The linen/toiletry closet wasn't always stocked and it is situated in an "unmarked" closet at the end of the hall on the second floor near a microwave (not where the instructions sent to us told us to find it). The towels and sheets are very worn and need to be replaced. Overall the room was clean. I can't say that I would ever go to a place without an elevator or service again.

Very central to areas of tourist interest. No need for a car unless you want to get out of the City. Our Rm #6 is very small for a couple ( 12X12 ') including the bathroom. I think it's more ideal for a solo traveller than a couple considering the price and size of the room. Cracking on the ceiling corners also are showing. Aside from that it's a great place to crash in after a long day's adventuring!
