This is the hidden gem hotel in kinugawa area that I don't want to advertise to many non-Japanese tourists. I booked the biggest rooms on the top floor with open air bath tubs, and the experience was divine. Because six of us were here, hotel staffs offered private dining room for 6, and hospitality was the most top tier professional experience that I give massive applause to all the staffs. If I revisit Kinugawa, this hotel is my top priority spot.

Such a neat hotel nestled besides a picturesque river. The hotel feels nostalgic but very well maintained. The entire surrounding community is a throwback Show era town. Helpful staff at the reception desk and restaurant. Breakfast and lunch rotated between 2 menus but options were plentiful. This is my second visit to this hotel and it is in such a convenient location. Be sure to explore the Kinugawaonsen station and surrounding reservoirs and rural communities.

Had our own onsen in our suite. Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was excellent along with friendly staff. Location right next to suspension bridge, excellent coffee across the street at Luna. We rented a car, hotel had free parking across the street.

Awesome ryokan located in a super cool spot in Kinugawa. Our room was large and had a great view of the suspension bridge going over the river. The room smelled like hay but I think that was from the new tatami mats in our room, which for that reason I don’t mind. Hotel is old but extremely clean and well-maintained. Onsen is great and there are also private baths available for rental. This is my second time staying here and I would 100% stay again in the future.

Room little dated but extremely spacious, and very clean. Only comment is lack of USB port. Buffet was adequate but missing the ‘wow’ factor. Property was little far from train station, I think it would be much convenient if the shuttle will bring guess back to hotel instead of just one way to the train station.

I want to start this review off by saying, I WILL be back. My stay at this hotel was almost dreamlike. It's something that I don't want to forget. The room was prepared perfectly, and the service was a 10/10. The breakfasts dinners that were prepared were unique and delicious all around. The staff was kind. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke English well! Lots of amenities and loved the private onsens. The building was a little outdated and the air conditioner didnt work well so we couldnt get rid of the slight smell the room had. Overall with their breakfasts and views too, I'd come back.

The staff was good. Check in was easy. We loved the traditional Japanese room. It was large and the views were incredible. Location was just what we were looking for. It is an older hotel and the bathroom smelled a bit old. We would return!
