I normally don’t write reviews, but I will for this place.! Really liked that I was staying in a room with historical importance. The rooms are big…we must have had a 5-star general ‘s old room. Where else will you find a claw foot bath in your room? Jeff the owner was friendly and nice personality… My favourite:

We really enjoyed our stay in the Cyr Suite. It's quite spacious with the convenience of a kitchen. The furnishings are a little dated but everything worked well. You can't beat the location! Highly recommend.

Thanks to Bernie and Pam for the opportunity to stay in their charming summer overflow house right in the heart of downtown. The place is spacious and well-appointed and has different vibrant wall colours in every room! Amazing value, ideal location, kind hosts. Be aware that the walls are thin so you might want to bring earplugs if you are very sensitive to noise.

Jolie maison d’hôte idéalement située au centre ville de Whitehorse. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’accueil de Bernie, le caractère Historique de la bâtisse, la propreté des lieux, le confort des lits, la possibilité de cuisiner et de passer du temps devant le poêle à bois! If you're looking for a place that feels like home, this is it. The house is incredibly cozy, warm, and nostalgic. Everything is spotless, with soft, warm lighting and inviting tones that make it feel like taking a positive trip back in time. There's so much attention to detail throughout the house, with thoughtful little decorations that add personality, charm, and warmth to every room. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. The location is excellent—about a 7-minute walk to the Yukon River and close to everything you need downtown. The owner, Bernie, lives next door and is wonderfully kind and helpful. One of my favorite memories was sitting together in the shared garden, talking about the history of Whitehorse and what life is like in the Yukon. Those conversations made my stay even more meaningful. And if you're a dog lover - well they have the sweetest Golden Mountain Doodle that is full of personality! I loved going out to the garden and take pictures of the dog! I also appreciated how seriously they take recycling and caring for the environment. As a solo traveler, I especially loved sharing breakfast and chatting with other travelers in the kitchen or living room. It created a sense of community that you simply don't get in a hotel, especially this far north. I would absolutely stay here again. In fact, it's the only place I'd want to stay in Whitehorse.

We left after 5min because of cleanliness. We found a hair in the bed, and a pile of (dirty?) bedsheets bunched up on the floor in the closet. The property is in a state of disrepair with rotted boards, broken banisters and overgrown landscaping. We went to the owner's house next door when we arrived and the entrance was covered in cobwebs. The Stratford Motel is about the same price and it is better value. The owner seems nice enough however.

Annorlunda boende.

Annorlunda boende. Tyst område fast nära till allting. Rummen (2st) finns på andra våningen medan badrummen ligger på första, varför det kan störa om man behöver använda det på natten då det gamla huset har knarrande golv och trappa. Rummet har inget lås, endast en hake på insidan. Ytterdörren har lås men är beroende av att bägge rumsgästerna låser när de går ut. Noggrann sopsortering. Skön Ikea säng. Kyl och frys och alla möjligheter att laga egen mat.

Bernie kindly greeted us very late at night after a long day of airline delays. The suite was everything we needed for a few days in Whitehorse and was within walking distance of downtown. There's a beautiful garden in the back and two friendly dogs, although they nearly gave me a heart attack when we arrived so late at night ha ha. It was a great stay at the Historical Guest House.

When we were arriving, I messaged the property to let them know when we would likely check in but received no response so I was a little worried that no one would be there to check us in! Thankfully Bernie was there in the end to check us in. Would have been nice to get a response though! Upon arrival the front door lock was broken but Bernie fixed it that day. Our room only had a bolt lock so there was no way to lock it if we weren’t in the room itself so something to keep in mind. The guest house had everything we needed to cook which was nice and the green room perfectly fit 3 people. The house itself is a historical house so is old and creaky so it is impossible to be really quiet if getting up in the night unfortunately but something to expect when booking here. That being said, this was good value for the price and having the ability to cook is a great way to save money when travelling !

Le propriétaire est très gentil et était là pour notre arrivée. Ce n’est pas un vrai B&B puisque le déjeuner n’est pas compris, mais on a accès à une cuisine fonctionnelle et chacun a sa salle de bain. J’ai trouvé que les lieux étaient négligés. Il y a toutefois un beau jardin.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It was perfect for our family of four who spent a few days exploring Whitehorse. The suite had everything we needed and was close to downtown. It's not a fancy place (which suited us just fine!) but the property and suite are well maintained and the owner, Bernie, was incredibly helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend!

Great place, especially for a larger group. We were comfortable and cozy. Homeowner was very personable and helpful.
