Bill and Veda are the most wonderful innkeepers we have met in our travels. Their home is very clean and welcoming, the rooms spacious with mini fridge, hulu tv, and they offer bottled water, ice machine access downstairs. The breakfasts were phenomenal with attention paid for food allergies. They offer beach towels, chairs and umbrellas to use for the beach which has access right across the street. But most of all they are the kindest and most interesting couple sharing stories of their travels and the local area for us to check out.

First time at a B&B. Bill and Veda set the bar really high for other B&Bs we will visit. Cypress House was charming, clean and so welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for when we planned this little vacation. Breakfast was great every day. Bill and Veda answered all our questions and request. They gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be visiting again!!

We are just crazy about Cypress House. The property is unique as are the proprietors. They are very helpful, funny, everyone of their dining suggestions were spot on., and as good as our meals were, breakfast was the best meal of the day. I’d rate Cypress House Inn at the top of the scale — and higher if I could! It is one of the few bed and breakfasts around, which the proprietors, Bill and Veda, have run more than 20 years. Clean, cozy and neat as a pin, they’ve taken loving care of every detail. They treated us like family, providing a beautiful breakfast (including a personal breakfast tray for my son the morning he slept in). The inn itself is a beautifully restored 1946 hunting and fishing lodge, with gorgeous pine floors and paneling, and is just a short walk to a gorgeous beach and a few blocks to the Wright Brothers first flight site and museum. They provide beach towels and beach chairs and umbrellas. Bill gave us fun facts on every aspect of the Outer Banks and recommended places to eat and sightsee. We will definitely stay here next time.

We stay here every year because it is so amazing. Veda and Bill and so accommodating and the Inn is so beautiful. Breakfast is an added bonus because it is always amazing as well. The Inn is also so close to the beach, restaurants and anything you would want to do.

Bill and Veda made our stay at the Cypress House Inn so warm, inviting and comfortable! The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable with both firm and soft pillows provided, and bathroom was beautifully designed with a roomy shower and handheld showerhead for convenience. Right outside our room was a well-stocked coffee and tea bar with filtered water available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was such a delight to share it with Bill, Veda, and the other guests who were staying. Location was so convenient to restaurants, stores, and attractions. It was too chilly for us to go the beach sadly but we saw that they had beach chairs and umbrellas readily available. Thanks for a wonderful stay, looking forward to visiting soon!
