Staff was friendly for checkin and allowed us to park our vehicle so it can be kept an eye on, she understood our reasoning as to why. Very quiet place, room is clean if I were to need to stay out this way again id choose to stay here.

Great hotel!

Great place to stay! Not a modern hotel but very nice place to stay. Very friendly staff. Also very good restaurant at edge of parking lot, again not modern but the best food!

For an inexpensive hotel it was a very pleasant surprise. Nothing fancy but everything was clean and homey. The staff was extremely friendly too. We had a great experience with the Mountaineer Inn.

Absolutely loved this Inn. Lots of local color and heart. I didn't get to go to the companion diner across the parking lot, but it looked delightful and was always full. Will definitely go back to this Inn in future trips to the area!

Nice hotel and area

Bedroom portion was nice and bed was comfy. However, the bathroom floor still had hair and felt sticky and slimy in places. Sink top had hairs as well. Overall nice hotel to stay for the Forest Festival at a decent price.

Excellent

This is an awesome motel. The lady at the front was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, and there was an ice machine (which I needed). The location is beautiful. The town also has a historic covered bridge which is a must-see site. If I ever come through here again, I will do my best to stay at this motel again.

Hotel is in a rural setting. Very clean room and nice helpful staff. Not many restaurants nearby. Just two within a few miles, otherwise it’s a fair drive to a restaurant. Very reasonable pricing. Good value for the money

The room was clean the bathtub was very slippery. The carpet in the hall and up the steps needs to be vacuumed. Other than that the place was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again if I needed to stay near Philippi wv
