This was the perfect location, in the middle of town. Easy to get around. Beautiful but dated. More detail could go into repairing small details such as blinds. The bed was the most comfortable; I could just melt into it. The staff was super friendly and helpful; there is a wonderful restaurant with great breakfast options.

8/10 Very good

This grand dame occupies a place of honor in the center of Northampton. The hotel is a throwback to the golden era of classic elegance, even if she's starting to show her age. I have stayed here several times recently while in the area for business. I love that I can easily walk to dozens of shops and restaurants and that the hotel offers free parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but small. Good for a single or couple - less good for a family grouping. The hotel staff is engaging and has offered helpful advice on where to have dinner and find good coffee. The hotel has two restaurants. I've only been to the Coolidge Park Cafe once. I wasn't impressed by the food, but my glass of wine was very good. There's so much great food in the area thot it makes little sense to waste time or money at the hotel's restaurant.
