2/10 Poor

10/10 Exceptional

Very kind staff. The hotel is located very close to the airport, the bus station, and many shops. It is also very close to Volcano Poas. The free breakfast is a delicious and filling traditional Costa Rican breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

6/10 Good

The staff we checked in with was helpful and kind. When we booked we didn’t realize that the room had open air above the window to the hall. You can hear everyone coming and going. The front desk staff emphasized keeping things quiet at night so others can sleep, but the night staff was SO LOUD playing music and videos turned all the way up and laughing/talking super loud. We were counting down the time until his shift was over so we could finally get some rest. The room setup makes it so you can hear ppl coming and going but loud staff for hours makes it so much worse. Would consider booking again if we knew the people that were running the place respected the posted quiet hours policies.

8/10 Very good

It was a nice little hotel. The rooms were clean. The only issues were that there was no air conditioning, so the room was hot, which made it hard to fall asleep. Also, this might have been unique to the rooms we had, but the motion light kept turning on and off throughout the night right outside our rooms. And there were just screens instead of windows on one side of our room, so we could hear the birds singing at 5:30 in the morning and they were pretty loud. The staff was super friendly though, and the breakfast was good.

I love this little hotel. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is convenient to the airport. It was also safe to walk around to neighborhood restaurants and stores. I actually ended up staying here three times and felt like I was coming back to friends.

2/10 Poor
