So happy we found this place before booking with the other, more expensive, hotels. The rooms were very clean (smelled great!), beds were comfortable, A/C was COLD, and within walking distance to the beach (walk through the parking lot) and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel while searching on the trivago site & was sent to hotels.com to book the room. The trivago listing showed that this motel had breakfast which was one reason I chose it as well as the pool. There was no breakfast & the pool was clean & great but their dumpsters were located behind the pool so when the wind blew all you could smell was garbage. The staff was great & room was clean. Our stay was during the week so parking was plentiful. We did enjoy our stay.

The hotel room was fantastically clean. It was a quiet stay. The room was not as outdated as some. Our room did have some broken features, and there was next to no water pressure. It was a fair trade-off for a great price and a great location. I would stay here again.

We always stay here when we travel to Tybee. We have tried the other hotel behind Tybee (Hotel Tybee) and we prefer Sandcastle Inn much more. It’s an older hotel as they all are there but it is clean and the staff is top notch. They don’t have an elevator so if you require one definitely ask for handicap accessible room. It’s about a 3 min walk to the beach and it’s very conveniently located walking distance to Tybrisa street. They have an outdoor pool that is well kept as well.

This is an older inexpensive hotel which is reflected in the room price. I will start with the not so good. Our hotel room door # 201 was extremely hard to open and was literally coming apart. The shower had long blonde hair stuck to the wall. The entire floor was so dirty we had to wash our feet before climbing into bed or putting on shoes even after a shower. Housekeeping replaced our towels but literally touched nothing else when stopping by after the first night. The light over the sink made it difficult to see to apply makeup. The positives. The location is fantastic with an easy walk to the beach! The parking is free. The staff were friendly. The bed was pretty comfortable. The water was hot. The AC was cold. I probably would not stay here again due to the condition of the room, but if you are a family on a budget looking for a short walk to the beach and a pool to enjoy, this may work for you.

Parking is very tight fitting. Ice maker for back rooms doesn’t work have go to front of building to get ice. Toilet made loud running sound when other rooms used theirs. But was close to Shops and Beach. Would stay again. Just needs a little attention to some things.

Pro's: okay price compaired to nearby competitors, location was nice and close to the beach without needing to cross a mainroad, staff were friendly and parking lot felt safe, had a microwave and fridge, room smelled okay, was across the street from a cute dog friendly restaurant <3 Potential areas of improvement: AC unit kept shutting off and the room got hot overnight, bathrooms are incredibly small- may want to be cautious if traveling with burly gentlemen
