This location was very handy for me for several days because I arrived by train from Prague and then made two day trips by rail from the Hauptbahnhof across the street before going on to stay elsewhere in Vienna.
Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of food. I used the bar twice in the evening, just for a drink (but not allowed to charge it to my room bill).
I had a large comfortable bed but the room was small and quite basic, with very little other furnishing or accessories (no iron and ironing board, for example). There was no in-room safe and no fold-out stand on which to place my large roller suitcase, so I had to put that on a small armchair. That left me only a stool to sit on for working with my laptop on a very small desk. Without a safe, I had to pack everything away in my suitcase and lock it.
Despite being right next to the station (across the street, see photo), the room was quiet and I slept well.
