The overall premises are dated and lack of maintenance. The staff are quite good. Very local and friendly. The breakfast is flavourful and lots of varieties. We booked Hape room. It is newly renovated, therefore, the overall condition is not bad. However, it would suggest the management to put more effort on maintaining and cleaning their premise. Hair and dust could be seen in the room and bathroom sink. We could also find trash on the floor from the last tenant. It was pretty horrible. Musty smell was overall the hotel including inside the room. The public kids areas were dated. bicycles are rusty. Please replace them. Those are not expensive at all. The indoor kids area was even worst. I didn't allow my kids to play there, it is too dirty. The elevators were smelly with a mix of cigarette and sweat. Please change the carpet and install air purifier. Also, improving on security is suggested. This is the first hotel in many years I have used without security. All guests can travel to all floors at all times. Though, I must say the breakfast is not good. Lots of varities and staff were nice.

I appreciated the spaciousness of the room, which included two queen-sized beds. The staff were generally helpful. However, the lack of direct public transportation to Fo Guang Shan was a drawback. The hotel offers only a one-way shuttle service, which was somewhat inconvenient.
