It was ann excellent stay for me. They have a big kitchen and a lot of shower/restrooms with almost daily group events and greet and meet opportunities. It is centrally located with an easy access to the subway and SL1 bus which takes you from the airport to the hostel. I would stay there again if I go back to Boston!

Overall, I had a great stay at HI Boston Hostel. The location is excellent, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean and well organized. The only downsides were that the air conditioning in the room was too cold, and it took a long time for the shower water to warm up. Even then, the water was only lukewarm. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hostel.

My experience started off great! The front desk employees were great. It went downhill once after I checked in that the elevators were not working and my room was in the sixth floor. Being 60 that was a struggle going up and down the stairs, so ince I got to my room, I never left until I checked out. Because it was a shared room, the bathroom was full of used towels all over the floor.
