We stayed one night the views were amazing and the hummingbirds at the feeders were incredible to watch along with all the other birds around the hotel. The food was also very good we had breakfast and an evening meal. The rooms were lovely all wood inside like a log cabin.

Beautiful stay

Beautiful rooms with a stunning view of the city. Very quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing, and it was lovely having hummingbirds flying around.

Everything was great! Food, rooms, fun options and all the birds! Double check your price options as others paid half of what we did!

Nice spot for the bird watching

It was amazing seeing all the different birds from their restaurant patio. I saw way more kinds of birds including two tucans from here than from the actual birds watching tours. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice city view too.

Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the bungalow. Balcony view breath taking. Seafood rice in their restaurant was fantastic as was the free breakfast the next morning. We did the zip line the next day. Not for the faint of heart but well worth it.

A simple yet wonderful place. All rooms have fantastic views of the valley and the property has nice jungle trails to walk on. We stayed at the bungalow, which is probably their best room. It is very private, clean and has a great deck overlooking the jungle and the valley. I walked into the room, looked at it and the view and walked right back up to the reception to book another night.

4/10 Regular

The rooms were alright. The walls were paper thin and our bathroom toilet wasn't completely attached to the floor resulting in a strong smell of sewer gas. The property is located on a hill next to a main highway. The noise of trucks using engine retarder bakes is deafening day and night.

Aloha from Hawaii

Gorgeous lush, flora surrounded the entire hotel. Diego was very helpful….knowledgeable…..cordial…..courteous. A family oriented accommodation at its best. Even the Mama made us feel at home…sharing her plants and expertise. The breakfasts were quite filling….very tasty. Hummingbirds at both feeders at the restaurant were quite mesmerizing. Beyond a five star rating.

Great spot in hills near San Isidro De El General

Beautiful family-owned and run hotel perched on a mountainside overlooking a gorgeous valley. The rooms have thin-walls, can hear your neighbors a little too well. But over all, just a terrific spot. Food at the restaurant was quite good, and a perfect place to catch the sunset.

We had a terrific room with a terrific view and terrific bed. We came in the very rainy season and the staff was very accommodating- always picking us up ! Perhaps more towels , more bathroom hooks since the air is so humid! The Wi-Fi very stable and TV in the room has multiple excellent channels . We even discovered some new ones! Food delicious and bird watching a great bonus ! Many hummingbirds vie for the feeders. Be careful, they might dive bomb you! Did zip lining and the staff was super caring and helpful. I can recommend this place without hesitation!

Wonderful hotel with fantastic staff and views

Wonderful location. Beautiful view right outside of your door. The price was outstanding and included a full breakast (either U.S. style or Costa Rican). The restaurant was excellent. Everyone treated us wonderfully and were incredibly kind and friendly. Be aware that these are typical well ventilated cabin style rooms and not a U.S. style hotel. This means that you can hear the guests next door at times. This was not a problem for us as everyone that was staying was there for a nice quiet stay. The coffee in the restaurant was excellent and they have it for sale to take with you. I highly recommend Mirador Valle and will stay there again next time I'm in the area. You may see from other reviews that it is a bit of a climb up to the restaurant but keep in mind that you can drive up and park at the top if it is too taxing. I personally, enjoyed the small hike.

Had a great time and comfortable stay. Lots of nature. Many different kinds of birds. The view of the valley is breath taking. A must stay.

Great mountain side view of the valley.

Great view. The check in went good. The trip to the room was different. Drive down a steep trail to a parking area and then it’s a bit of a walk down a cement walk. A bit of a challenge to pull luggage back up to car. Over all it was worth it.

I naturen vid vägen

Bra läge längs high way 2. Restaurang där man kan äta och titta på fåglar. Många fåglar då man matar dem. Besvärlig brant väg leder till boendet. Stort rum med fritidsboende känsla, träpanel överallt. Extremt hala golv! Se upp! Ok wifi, men bättre i restaurangen 100 m upp. Gratis frukost är bra. Lugnt och skönt, men man kan höra lastbilarna stånka i backen vid restaurangen. Inget att göra om man som vi har tropiskt regn!

Beautiful view and gardens

The staff was great and waited for us for a late check in. We arrived after dark and the room was clean and nice. When we woke up the view was amazing with the clouds slowly rising out of the valley. The landscape was immaculate and beautiful and breakfast was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks

Great place to stay in the mountains of Costa Rica

Only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Very comfortable clean room for a very reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with a problem I had with a rental car by calling the car rental company and providing the directions for them to bring a replacement car. The food here was excellent at reasonable prices. The view is spectacular. We saw lots of neat birds while sitting right in the dining room porch. Great bird watching location. Swallow tailed kites are in view almost constantly.
