There is no way to beat the value for money proposition in this hostel. However, some minor and inexpensive improvements will make this place an even better choice: put in more hooks & shelving space. This is especially important for ladies as there was no where to our their toiletries.

Clean, recommend

The room is small but very clean. It is recommended for young people to stay. It is not recommended for the elderly because there is no elevator . The toilet door is recommended to be maintained regularly to avoid rot and mold.

A decent hostel nearby the train station. One of the first things the staff told us was that in Taiwan it's a policy not to throw toilet paper into the toilet bowl. That's not a problem, until we realized it didn't have an automatic toilet bowl and was not even equipped with a bidet. Do they actually expect people to throw used toilet papers in the basket after pooping and live with the lingering smell and bacteria, germs, etc? I heard that Taiwan government has been educating its people since many years back to adopt a modern toilet culture, which is okay to throw used toilet into toilet bowl for hygiene purpose given that modern toilet papers are all made to be easily dissolved in water. Hope this toilet hygiene awareness will catch on sooner than later in Taiwan. Other than that, I would totally recommend this hostel for its convenience and accessibility.

Für den Preis ist es eine super Unterkunft. Fußläufig in 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Umliegend befinden sich jeweils einige 7/11 sowie FamilyMart Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, hatte eine Klimaanlage sowie einen Kühlschrank auf dem Flur zu gemeinsamen Nutzung. Kaffee gibt es täglich umsonst, sowie Wasserspender auf den Fluren. Der Bus zur Taroko Schlucht fährt ebenfalls vom Bahnhof aus und ist somit in 5-8 Minuten erreichbar. Wir würden wieder herkommen, da hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überaus gut war.
