This was a very clean and comfortable hotel room. It was well located on the edge of the old town about a 7 minute walk from the train station.

Great location, clean, comfortable beds, room had all that one needs, spoiled with MODERN room and air conditioning...rare in many Europe hotels. Greeted with a free beverage and ice cream! Welcoming and friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable staff to help with guidance in Bern. Will stay here again. Their breakfasts looked fresh cooked and great but decided not to book with it.

Wonderful hotel worth a prime location. Just a few blocks from the Bahnhof, Bundesplatz right across the street, and just blocks from everything else. The lobby provides free still and sparkling water. There were free drinks and cookies upon check in. And there was free ice cream being offered because of the ongoing heatwave. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

10/10 Exceptional

Very convenient location for both the main sights of the old town and the train station. Helpful staff. I had booked a small room but it was fine in terms of size. A bit noisy early in the morning but it was on a main road so to be expected. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Free tea, coffee and ice cream available.

10/10 Exceptional

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Bãren. Extremely helpful staff, clean room and bath, and good location. There was no traffic noise at night. We appreciated the coffee and sparking water service in the lobby. All in all, an excellent value. It rained a bit when we were there. We found we could walk to the railway station without getting wet! A definite plus. When we needed an umbrella for our walkabout, the staff were happy to supply now.
