A really pleasant and reasonable hotel in a secluded location. Parking was secure as the hotel is in a cul de sac ending in a square. I needed to leave early on a Sunday morning and the staff arranged for breakfast to be served 10 minutes early.

Lovely hotel. Steps leading to our room wasn’t very good as I’m disabled it made difficult to get up and down. We got to breakfast after 8.30 and it tested like it been there for a while. But I would definitely stay here again and just go for the continental breakfast.

A mixed review - Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Room was spacious and clean but did smell a bit damp. The view from the shared balcony was beautiful. It took over 15 minutes for the water to warm up and pressure was low. Unfortunately, the chef phoned in sick one morning. So no cooked breakfast. Continental minus the pastries, ham, cheese etc. a bit disappointing as we had a long day ahead. No compensation offered. Breakfast on the second morning was excellent. I appreciate the hotel is very big and overheads would be considerable, but lights were switched on in areas that were not occupied. Staff had laid every table in the restaurant which was totally unnecessary. Hotel is a beautiful setting but dated and needs refurbishing.

A good old fashioned principled hotel in a sleepy quiet hollow of a rural village setting . Across the road there’s a very very old church built from flint with an old fashioned gas light styled lamp post from yesterday year. I had room one which was clean with a very cosy comfortable bed and pillows. On suite with shower,toilet , basin with toiletries and plump soft towels was immaculately clean. Morning breakfast good old English breakfast with proper thick cut rashers of bacon , real tomatoes , sausage and what seemed like free range poached eggs. There was cereal, yogurt, toast , juice and different types of very fresh croissants available. A full sized brim full teapot and milk jug however there was also coffee available for coffee lovers. Fully recommend this hotel and I would certainly use again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The double room we had was small and had an ensuite built in to it. It had shower and toilet but was crazy narrow could not dry yourself after shower in the ensuite. The room had a working radiator on max but was freezing cold room (October). Written rules at check in say you can't eat or drink in the room/order take out unless from the hotel restaurant. Restaurant is on the costly side and extra charges for room service. WiFi was free but we could only get 1 bar the whole stay too slow for videos but could read bbc news. TV freeview had on and off reception so would randomly go off. Could not connect phone to smart screen locked with pin. Bed was a bit lumpy but had a good sleep. Covers were warm. Had iron, hair dryer, hangers. The soap was very nice but small, shower gel was even smaller so you may want to ask for an extra if there are 2+ staying. Area is very beautiful and river side location was amazing but could not see from our room. Only about 5 first come first serve free parking. Got it at a good price so would go again.

Staff very helpful, room was in a seperate building with a great view of the Thames, however the paintwork is falling away & the sink & bath plugs were broken. Whole place needs a makeover to bring it up to standard. Parking was a nightmare, nowhere to park at the hotel so had to park 500 yards on a housing estate. A lot of people go sailing so a lot of traffic by the hotel. Nice smell of weed as well lol.

Stayed at Walton Lodge as a stop-off to visit Hampton Court Palace. Fabulous location - we were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far (April’26) which allowed us to sit out and appreciate the river views in the evening. Rooms were clean ours was a bit hot but a fan was included. Chatted to a fellow resident and agree that the place needs some TLC however would stay again if visiting this part of London Town.

Lovely location out of the way of the nearby town. Quiet. Room was cosy, clean and had everything you needed. Bed was very comfy. Fresh supply of quality tea, milk, biscuits, etc., each day. Parking right outside the hotel was very convenient.
