Only stayed 1 night en route to NSW, but staff were friendly and family room was clean and very convenient. Decor was charmingly a little old school, reminded me of motels from when I was a kid. Our room with adjoining bedroom slept 7 (we had 5). Motel provided milk and cookies on arrival and there's a Woollies just up the road.

What a unique place !! This is a proper vintage 1960s motel That being said it was one of the cleanest places we have stayed in on our 3 week road trip It had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. We chose the king size Bed the linens on it were fab. The bathroom is dated like the building itself but once again spotlessly clean and perfectly functional The owners who were very friendly brought us some fresh milk and home made cookies Unfortunately we arrived late so did not see the outside facilities Excellent value for money Would definitely stay again

Sandbar is an older style motel within walking distance to central Lakes Entrance including hotels and restaurants. What sets it apart is that it is very thoughtfully fitted out and hence has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere. It was very clean and very well maintained. It was very reasonably priced and represented excellent value for money, as witnessed by the fact that it was fully booked on a quiet week day. It was a very pleasant surprise and is highly recommended

A great-sized room with a lovely kitchenette. The aircon/heater was in a weird spot but we cranked it up high enough to eventually warm the room up. It was nice to have a shower with a door (as opposed to showers that only have 1 screen and allow the water to splash all over the bathroom floor!) And the toiletries were lovely.

Owner was a very nice man and very helpful. Cookies and milk on checkin. Had a good visit with others in the common area outside in the evening. Tile, carpet and bathroom in our room is due for a refresh but it was a comfortable nights stay and a great location. Thanks to the owner and staff :)
