I stayed here for only two nights—arriving late on the first night and leaving early on the second—but I still wanted to leave a review because the staff made such a positive impression.
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also want to recognize the woman working in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was wonderful. Even though I don’t speak Portuguese, she went out of her way to communicate with me, recommend local foods and places to visit, and make me feel welcome. One evening, she even spoke with the chef to prepare a traditional local dish for me. That extra effort meant a lot and made my stay more memorable.
The hotel itself is affordable, clean, and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The shower was quite small, but it was functional and not a major issue.
My only criticism is the communication regarding transportation before arrival. I contacted the hotel in advance because I was arriving late at night and needed assistance getting there. Unfortunately, I never received confirmation before landing and had to arrange transportation myself after a long trip. This was the only frustrating part of my experience.
On the morning of my departure, however, the staff arranged a taxi for me without any problems.
Overall, the kindness and hospitality of the staff were the highlight of my stay, and I would happily stay here again. Location is great, too!
