I loved the building and room. It was a lovely and hearty continental breakfast. I understand that some renovations/construction are occurring so I was unable to sit on the lovely deck, but that is temporary. I was disappointed by their check-in policy. Typically, if I attempt to check in to a lodging early, it is not a problem UNLESS the room is not ready. The check in at Silver Fox is 4 pm. When I arrived at 2 pm, the first clerk reminded me of the official check in time. I was then told that I could check in early for $75 (meaning the room was clearly ready). I felt that $75 for two hours was outrageous. I was then offered a discounted early check in price of $50. The second clerk seemed embarrassed, but hamstrung, by the policy. It was disappointing but I entertained myself for two hours and returned for the official check in time.
