Review: The Westin Austin Downtown
My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. Parking is a complete disaster—expensive, and even as a guest, I still had to pay for it. The service related to parking was terrible.
The surrounding area did not feel safe or pleasant, with a high presence of homelessness, trash, and a lot of noise.
When I arrived at my room, the view was unpleasant, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and the noise level made it hard to rest.
I’ve stayed at other Westin properties, such as The Westin at The Domain, and the difference is night and day—much better service, quality, and location.
I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for comfort, peace, and good service.
