Good location in middle of the town, so can walk everywhere. Parking is practical. Swimmingpool is a bit small, but we didn't come for that. Rooms are spacious, clean and practical. We slept well. Breakfast is a bit simple, in terms of variety (mainly bagels and muffins), but at least it was included (unlike other hotels). Would be great if they could have espresso/cappuccino coffee options. As in other smaller places in the US, it is difficult to find those in town.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was just right. Rooms were clean. Our room was in the main building and was very nicely decorated. The bathroom in our room could use a bit of maintenance (grout and chipping paint) and the exhaust fan did not work. The location of the property is perfect. You can easily walk to the many stores and restaurants on Main Street. The hotel restaurant was good. We eat there 3 times. One evening, we experienced slow service which did cause a bit of an inconvenience. I presume they were under staffed that night. On the plus side, everyone was hustling and pitching in. Management included, who was delivering meals to tables. Overall, I would stay here again

Beautiful hotel with very convenient location on main street. Only downside was paying extra for a pack n play and the upgrade to a balcony was not worth it- no view. Wish the pool area was a little nicer. Otherwise would recommend for the spacious king room, restaurant, and location. Very accommodating staff!

Our stay at the Chatham Wayside Inn was a very pleasant 5-night stay. The staff was friendly and the king room we had was very clean and well appointed. They have a continental breakfast, which does include scrambled eggs and a nice variety of breads and muffins. The fresh fruit was also amazing! There is a beautiful bar within the main building, The Wild Goose. Overall, excellent service and very nice staff and the cleanliness who’s top-notch.

Hotel was great from the room to Goose Tavern Restaurant! Room was spacious and comfortable with all conveniences. Daily continental breakfast was very good! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Pool was much smaller than expected. Location was perfect for walking in Chatham. Easy drive to Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We thought the place was good not great. We upgraded to a king room with patio and we got the room right above the restaurant facing the whale art so very little privacy. The rooms advertised online seem much more private. Cute stay though and great location. The breakfast is bare minimum with eggs being the only warm option.

You can't beat the location, right on Main St. in downtown Chatham - easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants, and the charming public library. The room was very clean, and equipped with a mini-fridge and coffeemaker. We had two queens and the beds were comfortable, with good quality linens. Where we had problems: 1) there were two electrical outlets next to the sink in the bathroom, and all the rest were buried behind beds, the dresser, or other furniture (NOT practical with electronic devices to charge every day; a couple of charging hubs within easy reach would be very helpful); 2) there was no desk or straight chair in this huge room, so when we had work to do, we had to move a tiny side table in front of a large armchair to get anything done; 3) the louvred wooden blinds are not room-darkening, so the light WILL wake you when the sun comes up. Finally, a run-down on the continental breakfast: on 10-30-2026 the breakfast included bagels (w.cream cheese available), small scones, some muffins, cold cereal and whole milk, fresh cut-up fruit like honeydew and strawberries, whole apples and pears, yogurt cups, a warming pan of scrambled eggs, plus coffee, tea, and orange juice. Pretty generous for a "continental" breakfast! Our only recommendation there would be to add oatmeal, or at least make instant oatmeal packets available for those of us who need a healthier option that does not involve milk. Overall a decent option if you don't need to work during your stay.

Chatham is beautiful and the Wayside Inn is so charming. We had a garden king room very spacious, clean, comfy king bed, huge accessible bathroom, fridge, safe, ironing facilities beautiful little garden with table and chairs. Continental breakfast cereal, fruit, bagels muffins, boiled and scrambled eggs. Bicycles free to hire, heated pool, gym. Did not want to leave.
