This motel was wonderful! We had a view of the ocean through a large picture window, and a beautiful trail to walk next to the ocean and its crashing waves over the rocks. My only critique is that dogs are allowed, and on our last night there were two snarling barking dogs next to us who disrupted our night of peace.

Let's be clear, this place is all about the fantastic view of the ocean. The motel is nice, clean and convenient to the main road and nearby Yachats town. The staff was very friendly at check-in and they have a gift shop that includes some food items. The room was nice, but pretty basic. Our room looked straight at the ocean and there was a small balcony to sit on, which we did in the evening and morning. They are not private--each room is right next to each other. I got to meet my neighbors and their lively dog. There is a nice path along the upper shore (it's kind of rocky), so expect to see a lot of walkers and dogs. It goes about a half mile in either direction, with great views of the shoreline.
