This was an excellent location near activities and the local college. If you are able to walk without limitations, most things were within a 30 minutes walk. The only times I used Uber or Bolt was from the train station to the hotel. The breakfast was good and tasty.

My room was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. I particularly liked the breakfast room and the breakfast they had which was about €10 and very much worth it. The breakfast room is sunny and has a view that is so lovely. The neighborhood is great and very close to the university. I thought the staff was very nice and accommodating. They were good hosts.

This historic building-turned-inn is terrific. It has been remodeled with all the modern conveniences while maintaining all of its old world charm. Suites are large with immensely high ceilings and huge bathrooms, common seating areas abound, the buffet breakfast is delicious, and it's within walking distance to the historic Coimbra university and botanical gardens. Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Magical Sintra

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel. It's beautifully decorated with a unique updated traditional style. The staff went out of their way to answer questions and make sure our stay was comfortable. One point to be aware of is the parking they provide is at a sister property a ways away and can make luggage drop off and pick up a bit complicated. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (and the amazing breakfast) and wished we could have stayed longer!

The guy who booked us in was very helpful and gave us a map of Coimbra with all the essential places to visit. When we got to the room however, it was very disappointing as it had a strong smell of damp mould as soon as you walked in - not healthy either. I booked a studio online as it had a kitchenette and we like to make our own breakfast of fruit and yoghurt and make tea at night. The kitchenette was advertised as having utensils, a fridge etc but not one utensil was in sight even though there was plenty of storage. There was a microwave but no plates, no kettle and the fridge didn’t even work. The shower door was stuck as well, batteries were flat in the TV remote control and most of the blinds were broken so the studio was dark. The next morning we asked if we could move to another room as we were staying three nights but the girl on reception was totally disinterested and said there were no rooms available. According to several booking sites, there were, so not sure why we were refused. The bedroom was large and comfortable however but the neighbourhood was noisy on Saturday night. The house is a fair walk uphill from the main area so not ideal.

Spacious

The hotel itself is nice. In a older building but in good condition. We found the staff friendly and willing to offer advice. The downside is there is no dedicated parking. We had to find parking on a near by side street which was not optimal. Also the hotel is not within easy walking distance so an uber will probably be neccessary
