This hotel, despite good friendly front of house staff is definitely past it's former glory. Despote some positives, just too many issues across several areas: service, billing, room facilties, cleanliness, poor maintenance and general aire of needing a refurbishment.

Very good hotel with an excellent breakfast. The area was fine but I would walk around at night. The restaurant was also good if you don't order the steak. The only complaint that I had was that there was no hot water. It was like warm.

The size of the room was okay for the price. I did not like the fact that they did not have a smart tv in my room, the gym looked crammed , not enough space between the machines. this is the 4th time I and my small 501c medical team has stayed here. Its been 4 years and unfortunately, although hotel is clean, a lot of general upkeep has not been maintained. for instance broken window locks, deteriorating shower door gaskets, soap scum at bottom of shower glass( could easily be removed with a razor scraper) Some room refrigerators work some do not. The staff is great, the breakfast buffet is very good, the rooftop restaurant, bar is a plus although sometimes service is a bit slow. Minor point but The Nation or the Standard in the lobby news rack would be nice. Probably will stay here again.

We had comfortable stay at Le Maison Royale however we felt the hotel is looking a bit neglected, possibly due to covid. Our room was a very long way from reception and quite complicated to get to (2 elevators and numerous corridors). We got used to this though, however and did not request a room change. Pros: *Staff were friendly and helpful *Room was big, air-conditioned and kept clean enough *Location was close to everything you need in westlands Cons *Hotel felt neglected and tired *Food was not great - breakfast was very underwhelming and on our last day we actually went out to eat so we didn’t have to eat the breakfast. *laundry service does not run on Mondays…we arrived back from safari on Sunday night and wanted desperately to have our clothes washed however couldn’t until Tuesday morning, having them returned early Wednesday morning. All in all we had a fine stay at Le Maison but probably wouldn’t return.

Once you check in, the staff do not escort you to the room. Second floor was a maze finding the suit I stayed in. The moment I walked in, I realized the AC was too loud,Called the front desk and asked to change however they said the technician would come in an hour and never did. Shower was Luke warm and not really getting hot. The venue needs maintenance and renovation. Dinned at the terrace on 5th floor, service was ok until food and drinks arrived and the waiter disappeared. No music and not much was happening up there. Being a repeat guest at the property and having stayed at the standard room, that side of the property is way better than the old suit.Also having stayed at the other one in south c, unfortunately I’ll be choosing elsewhere next time. There’s a lot of room for improvement.
