We spent that morning traveling on motorcycle through the region, visiting Mayan ruins of Aké and other Haciendas close by, when asked about where would us be staying the night, we replied at the Hacienda San Francisco Tzalcalha in Dzinzantún municipality and they looked at us confused "we've never heard about it" so it made us weary. Finally after a squall we made it and when we saw our room (villa) we where awed because it was exactly like the houses in the peninsula used to be 50 years ago. Anyway the place was a dream, the restaurant is run by a young but skilled chef, the place at nice is beautiful, the old buildings, the Master's house, the pottery shop, the gardens, horses, bycicles and other. We had a lovely weekend and definitely will return for a couple day stay.
