April stay

This is the first time I’ve stayed at The Bluebird Inn. It was a first class stay, well-deserved, thanks to the staff, who are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are excellent, and the overall vibe of the hotel is perfect. I’ll definitely be back. Plus the breakfast and meal on the evening was amazing

What a gem...

Was sadly only there for 1 night as a place to crash after a nearby wedding. The place was lovely, the staff couldn't of been any kinder and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. Would drive the 6hrs to come back for a few days stay for sure.

8/10 Very good

A reasonable choice for a short stay

We stopped off at the Bluebird for one night following a wedding in the area. We chose the Inn for the location, which was on our route and very convenient. We were able to check in early and very easily - the bar manager was very pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness of the room left quite a bit to be desired. The bedding was somewhat stained, the window panes were mouldy and equipment for hot drinks needed a wash before use. However, we overall got what we paid for and had no issues with parking, noise, broken amenities etc that would have hampered our stay.

Well kept, new fresh decor, quiet, great staff, great onsite dining. A few resident peacocks and peahens hang out in the courtyard, so charming! So far of the 5 non-chain stays we’ve had in England this one was our favorite! Would love to come back!

Bluebord inn 13/11/2023

Nice place to stay. Great service and the food was excellent. Very comfortable and clean room. Only observation was that the floorboards above room 2 are very creeky and can become quite tiresome if you want uninterrupted sleep.

4/10 Fair

When i enrered the oub, the lady was serving soneo e drinks, she said she would be with me next at the recpetion area. I went down and then a lady came up to the bar and she was served next, leaving me hanging! I ordered the mix grill, the ham was over salty, the chicken burned, steak ok but small, sauage awful and frozen chips! Room had narks on the wall that had been there sonce our last stay 8 months ago! Glass in the room was dirty and so was the sink. I will not be staying again!

Anniversary weekend

This is a very comfortable hotel, it was perfect for us as a base. Our room was spotlessly clean and so cosy. We ate in the hotel both nights, once in the bar and the second night in the restaurant. Both times the service was excellent and the food very tasty. One afternoon we sat outside on the terrace and one of the local peacocks came to say hello. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would definitely return to the Bluebird Inn.
2-night trip

8/10 Very good

We stayed here for 2 nights mid-week. The property was easy to find. There is plenty of free on-site parking. The staff were friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. Check in was a quick process (checked in online the night before). Easy to locate our room. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom could do with more of a deep clean as there was some mould from the shower. We didn't have breakfast there as the timings and cost didn't appeal to us but we did eat in the restaurant one night. The staff were friendly and the food was good. The room was well decorated, quiet and had all he needed amenities. Good choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We would stay again.

Very pleased with my stay and would use again

I thought the price was good. Check in was easy though puzzling that you can't get your receipt until check-out although you pay on arrival. Room was very nice and well appointed. TV channels available didn't include a lot of my favourites. I slept really well and the shower worked OK. I didn't try the food though it seemed OK - I might try it next time as the hotel is not very local to anything.
Sarah, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

good and bad

Room was quite small but adequate and very clean. My husband found the bed hard - I didn't. (2 singles) |The worst aspect was the floodlighting in the car park outside the window. Although there were blackout curtains, the light seeped in round the sides as the curtains could not cover the window...it being a dormer style. As someone who cares about the environment, I could not understand why so many floodlights where necessary nor why they should still be on after 10 a.m. Of course it's good that rooms are not heated when empty but it would be useful if instructions as to how to work the system were available. We didn't have breakfast but the evening meal was lovely
