The place is conveniently located near the train station as well as the funicular to go to the lake promenade. They are between 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel respectively. The hotel is very basic. Throughout our 2 night stay we didn't meet a single member of staff. We weren't prepared for the online check in or the self check out at all - since the instructions said that the hotel has staff at the front desk until 6pm and we arrived at 5.30pm. Their self check is unnecessarily complicated as well as their key free rooms. Breakfast is expensive at 25 CHF per person per night for what it is - and hence we opted for no breakfast. It is ok - but it feels very basic and doesn't give you the feeling of being on vacation.

The hotel is conpletely renovated, very modern interieur. The short walk from the trainstation (5 min) was very conveniant for us arriving with the train with lugguage. The city centre was easy to reach taking the funicular from the train station. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The free water (also sparling) was absolutely great. Great customer service, we would always go there again when going to Lugano!

The hotel was fine and very modern . There was no one at the front desk to answer questions I have a major complaint. During our stay, there was a breakfast buffet arranged in the lobby. There was no price on it. And there was no one at the desk for us to confirm whether breakfast was included or not. I assumed that this was for the guest and and I took the breakfast. My husband who was staying with me also got coffee for one or two days. Again, no one told us that breakfast was not included in our service and they did not tell us the actual price of the breakfast. Afterwards, I have been charged $199 for taking breakfast at the hotel for four days. This is unacceptable if I had known that the breakfast was expensive I would not have had anything. They were cheaper pay places to get coffee and a croissant outside the hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel for several reasons. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location- minutes from the train station (exit at platform 4). Easy access to the beautiful Lugano using the cable car which is every 3 minutes and takes less than one minute. Area around the hotel. Room was comfortable and very well decorated. The hotel has many pieces of art work which are a joy to look at. Some quirky things look at. The hotel website has a picture of breakfast - this is exactly how it was presented. Another work of art for eyes (and stomachs) to feast upon. Coffee made to order. You can help yourself to water and make a coffee anytime of the day. Rated as 3 star but should be higher.
