But much more than that, the hotel is nestled in a wonderful former palace , from when you have a wonderful sea view. And the rooms??? What rooms !!!! The building has an interesting history and is furnished and equipped in authentic detail. The location is easy walking distance from the Dar ferry; across the street is a fishermen's beach, which is also where many boat tours start. Food was good both in the main restaurant (overlooking the beach) and in the small coffee shop at street level.
