We had a few family members who stayed at the same hotel, and we all agreed that this hotel was perfect for families with kids. Everything was functioning and the rooms were cleaned daily. The various breakfast options helped during our two-week stay.

A proper sized single apartment with washing machine and kitchen. Great for my work travel, and only comment is a lack of a work table. The dining table was just as suitable but electrical supply needed a longer wires. Wished the pool was longer for my lap swims.

Excellent for a longer stay, but the only issue I had was that people were smoking in their rooms even though it is supposed to be a smoke free Hotel.

Love Somerset and if I go to Dalian again will choose this place again. Minor issues that I would like the management to fix and that's to replace all pots and pans, some have gross build up that cannot be cleaned.

Smelly room with really bad breakfast

I was attracted by the brand of Somerset; however this hotel is not worth the money. The room was smelly, and the breakfast was quite disappointing, with vey little choice and low food quality.

6/10 Good

We stayed here 3 nights and our only complaint is the apartment we ordered was supposed to sleep 6 and have 3 queen beds. Unfortunately the apt came with 1-king, 2 twin beds and a day bed. There were 4 in our party and not comfortable enough bed wise. We moved one of the twin beds into the 3rd bedroom for my sister to stay and my father using the other twin bed. What adult wants to sleep in a twin bed? The management company should change the description of the accommodations online so people aren't let down during their stay. They stated to us that they didn't have an apartment with 3 queen beds and could do nothing to help us. 3 stars

Close to Japanese and Korean restaurants

If you wanted to live close to nice restaurants in Dalian, this hotel is a good choice for your stay. It is near quite a few great Japanese and Korean restaurants. Other from that, it is a overpriced one.

Go-to place in Kaifaqu, Dalian

My go-to place when I visit Kaifaqu area in Dalian. Improvements needed: 1. hot water supply can be low, especially if you want a bath in the tub 2. wifi is bit slow, although I do appreciate that their wifi automatically connects to a foreign vpn that allows you to visit normally blocked foreign websites 3. bath towels are getting really old, and have become almost stripped/shredded Now the positives: 1. really spacious rooms 2. full kitchen in the room 3. bose stereos in the room 4. room is quite clean 5. staff speak good English 6. Lawson (conveniece store) at lobby level
