Food very average in flavour, breakfast was minimal... fruit on a stick, crepe and eggs... it felt there was meant to be a French fusion vibe... but wasn't feeling it, that said they clearly do amazing work with the community so fair play and good luck. We thoroughly enjoyed our short but beautiful stay at this great property. With superb views of the mighty Mekong and 2 decks to enjoy them from, we were reluctant to leave our room. The bed & pillows were super comfy, making for a very good night's sleep. The staff made us hearty breakfast boxes for our early morning departure, plus free transfers were included from and to the pier to catch our slow boat. I could've easily stayed another couple of nights to fully immerse myself in the Mekong experience.

We had a very brief stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing with a very big welcome from Ben the manager. Rooms were beautiful with all the amenities you need. The view was amazing and the town while very primitive, very interesting. Would have liked to stay another night the appreciate the area.

Great views and good food.

They initially had only one of our two rooms booked but sorted it out quickly with no fuss. Setting on riverside was great and watched elephants bathing at breakfast time. Evening set menu was very good. If you wanted an alternative meal then you could walk into the village. Staff helpful and friendly. A good choice for a mid range hotel in Pakbeng.

Sensational hotel

What a fabulous hotel is the Pakbeng Sanctuary Lodge. A stunning view over the Mekong River, beautiful rooms and a lovely bar/ restaurant. There are 2 areas, the lower with superior rooms, a restaurant and swimming pool, and the upper with deluxe rooms and suites, also with a separate restaurant. We were upgraded to a suite and it was luxurious. The food is lovely and the drinks cold. The included breakfast was tasty.

Beautiful room overlooking the Mekong

A beautiful hotel on the top of the hill overlooking the Mekong River. They picked me up at the boat and transported me to an oasis. This place was a great way to relax after my 6 hour boat ride to get there. The people that worked there were friendly and the view from my patio was amazing. I loved watching the sun set over the river. I only wish I could have had more time to enjoy this place before starting my second day journey to Luang Prabang.

Caution…. The hotel did a bait and switch on me. What you see in the photos on Travelocity isn’t necessarily what you will receive. I booked and paid for a balcony suite. Instead, I was given a ground floor room. “Sorry, it’s already full.” Instead of taking any sort of responsibility, they blamed everyone but themselves. They even had the audacity to say that I was the first booking they ever had off of Travelocity. I would use caution before booking with them.

Eine Insel der Ruhe

Dieses Hotel ist wirklich toll. Gleich nach der Ankunft mit dem Slow Boat am Pier wartet schon der hoteleigene Transfer. Dieser ist kostenlos und muss nicht extra vorbestellt werden. Dann gibts einen Welcome Drink beim Einchecken und für Gäste mit Exclusive Rooms einen erneuten kurzen Transfer zum "oberen" Haus, das im Prinzip eigentlich ein separates zweites Hotel mit eigenem Restaurant ist. Die Aussicht ist grandios, genauso wie das sehr feine Abendessen.
