We stayed at the Ramada in Regina for our youngest son’s doctor’s appointment in the East End, and honestly, I don’t understand how this hotel has such a high rating. The experience was terrible.
The room we were given was dirty and grimy — poor lighting, hair in the bathroom, and just an overall unclean feel. When we first arrived, we weren’t greeted at all by the front desk. The staff were rude, cold, and unwelcoming — not even a simple “hello” or acknowledgment. On top of that, we were charged $150 for incidentals, despite the website clearly stating $50. We paid it without issue, but it felt dishonest.
The only part of our stay that was remotely enjoyable was the pool, which my kids liked, though I didn’t find it that great myself. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was decent, but that was about the only positive.
Overall, this was a horrible place to stay — rude staff, dirty rooms, and an unpleasant environment. Thank goodness it was only for one night. I would not recommend this hotel.
