The location alone is enough to get high marks. But the staff are amazing, the rooms nice, and just a lovely hotel overall. The pillows are a little stiff for me, but to each their own. Fantastic place to stay in the heart of the city.

Traveled all over Europe the Mercantile is by far one of the best hotels. Excellent breakfast, has to be the best in city. Dinner was excellent as well in the hotel restaurant. Rooms are on small side compared to American standards, but not to European but well appointed as is the rest of the hotel. The venue is very charming. Staff is accommodating.

Great location, really nice interior decor and great cocktails. Check in/out timings are not great at 4pm and 11am respectively, we were later again checking in as the rooms weren't available but the staff were lovely and accomdated us with a drinks voucher for the wait.
