Front desk staff was so nice. Not a fancy property, no elevators, old school vending machines that require cash, but everything is clean, the pool is cute, the beach is right across the street and it was perfect for a quick stay!

Karen at the front desk went above and beyond for my birthday, her kindness and service was unmatched - thank you Ms Karen for ensuring my birthday trip was absolutely amazing! Super convenient to walk to get food and the beach is only a block away! The room was awesome with a nice canal view

Perfect location in between Ocean City, MD and Bethany Beach, DE. Quiet at night. We had a nice view of the bay. Karen at the front desk is absolutely lovely! Hotel is only open six months in the year - during summer season. It is only two floors with no elevator.

I was told when I booked the room, even though I chose the room the computer can change it, I paid for a king deluxe Canal view. I got a queen Street view, I was told while I was yelled at that. There is nothing I can do. They will not give me a discount when staff is comfortable enough to yell those things at you in front of other guest that says the company is comfortable with that treatment from the staff,as long as they make their money, if you read reviews the negative reviews mainly State the same problem you book that room with the canal and they’re put you in another claiming it’s the same price, of a street view room. It is a deceptive practice that apparently they’ve been getting away with for years, any place you stay you pay more for a water beach or sea view.as a business owner, I would never let any of my employees yell at someone who chooses to spend their money in or on or at, Whatever I’m associated with. I will confront the issue myself if need be my second night my bed was replaced with a king bed.but being treated so disrespectful by staff in front of other guest, it’s just not a place that I would recommend for any of my organisations or associates to stay when they visit Fenwick Island

Convenient and affordable

The staff was friendly and the check-in seamless. The room was clean and we liked the wooden floor. There was no room service but they said if we needed anything to just come at the front desk. One of the two beds was uncomfortable as it was too soft. The other one was fine. The bathtub needed some extra scrubbing. The location was 15 minutes away from Bethany Beach boardwalk. All in all we had a nice stay.

Fenwick Islander Motel is a lovely place to stay.

Fenwick Islander Motel is a wonderful place for a getaway and is close to OCMD and Bethany Beach, The room and pool were both clean and the staff were both friendly and helpful. This is an old fashioned '50s-'60s motel that has been cleaned up and remodeled with modern treatments but still retains the all charm of the original. There are several shops within a few block walk including a Royal Farms, souvenir shop, taqueria, and liquor store, as well as a good restaurant right across the street as well as several more good places to eat within a 5 minute ride up or down the highway. The lovely Fenwick Island beach is right across the road and a half a block walk and the canal is directly behind the motel. The Pool was clean and wonderful, with many kids on the weekend days, but much fewer during the week so there was plenty of opportunity to take a dip or relax in the lounge chairs to catch some sun. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and so much cozier than being in one of the many highrise hotels in OCMD. I would recommend the Fenwick to families with children and couples on a getaway who don't want all the hustle and bustle of OCMD, but want the option of it just a 5 minute ride away.

Pool and overall property cleaniness/maintenance was great. Few random spots of minor disrepair but given that it's so close the the beach that's pretty understandable (and still cleaner/nicer than home). My only real complaint is with some of the amenities. Ice machine was free, but they had a single unit that was almost always out of ice, and some of the refrigerators didn't have a freezer compartment (we had 2 reservations so did a room swap). Made it difficult to keep things cold for the beach... and the tvs worked great for our switch but the cable tv was fuzzy. Most of the 3 rooms were 2 double beds which is hard to actually sleep 2 to a bed. Still, price was pretty good, and considering some of the other motels we were looking at, I'd recommend checking this place out. End of story it was CLEAN and all staff involved were very friendly, even with our fairly obnoxious room swap.

I recommend this hotel! Very good location.

An older hotel, with an fantastic person in the reception, whos name was Karen (I believe). She was very warm and caring. The room and hotel is ok. Nothing fancy, but the location with the beach just 4-5 min walkingdistance is fantastic. The beach and the area is wonderful. We had a room towards the street and it was a litte noisy from the street, but i was ok. Its much better with a room towards the back that you also see fantastic houses and watercanals.
