The room was clean upon entry. True, the room appeared to be freshly painted but it left me wondering what was hidden under the paint, (mold, water stains)considering what I saw next. I do have several concerns about the condition of the room. One, walking across the room toward the bathroom the floor, laminate, felt very spongy and uneven. The sponginess was likely due to a deteriorating subfloor. I wonder if the condition of the flooring was a direct result of the poor condition of the door and door frame. It appeared to me that during a heavy rainfall, water would easily flow into the room soaking the floor and sub flooring. During the day I took photos from inside the room with the lights off. As you can clearly see the door is not square within the frame, way too much sunshine (bugs) entering through the various gaps. Also, as indicated by the light shining through the lower left corner of the door, it has rusted out. I couldn't help but to wonder what types of little vermin (mice) came into the room day/night. This thought did not sleep very restful, just the thought of a mouse running across the bed was not pleasant. If the facility was eco-friendly I did not notice a bin in the room for recycling.
