No reception desk, so arriving is impersonal (and needed a phone call to be texted entry details), but the property once inside is snug, nicely decorated and the room I stayed in was well appointed. I had a view over the front, facing the station, which was noisy in the early (Friday) evening but quietened down at a respectable time. I found the place charming. Loos and showers are communal but there are plenty. Breakfast was delicious - the bread in particular was some of the best I've ever had.

This is a hostel, not a hotel, and it's a grungy one. The room smelled of dust and decades old cigarette smoke. You could hear everything going on in the whole hostel. The rooms do not have bathrooms, those are shared. The furniture in the rolm was old and gross, not shabby chic, just shabby. The bed was ok, surprisingly. The only thing this place has going for it is that it's close to the train station. Did not try the breakfast since I just wanted to get out and away from the place.

Temperature

Hello, we visited the room and turn back to car and booked another hotel. Room was extremely too warm. Children wouldn't sleep any minute there. We're very disappointed.

We stayed one night during a winter car vacation along the east coast. The hotel is central to shopping, restaurants, and lovely neighborhoods. Street parking was free from 7 pm to 9 am. The facility is steeped in history with charming furnishings in the common spaces and high quality beds and bedding in the room - the most comfortable of all the hotels during our trip. Warm fresh bread and lots of other delicious breakfast offerings. Coffee and tea in the common area as you wish. It’s a secure building and very quiet - in winter with windows closed. I can imagine hearing sounds of the city in the summer. There is a handy elevator to the hotel level, but there are at least 10 steps to get up to the elevator. We will return for a summer visit to this lovely and historic city.

Självservice på allt ipricip, frukosten var väldigt basic. Rummen lyhörda. Ingen sänggavel till sängarna så slog man i väggen dunkade de som om grannen var hos dig. Toalett och dusch utanför rummen. Korridoren full av doft pinnar av olika lukter så man bör inte vara astmatiker. Skulle mer kalla de vandrahem än hotell. + att de låg så centralt

Enkelt hotell precis mitt emot tågstationen. Sköna sängar, bra frukost. Handfat på rummet men toa och dusch är i korridoren. Fräscha men det var lite småsaker som spolknappar och duschmunstycke som krånglade och det saknades toapapper. Rummet var varmt men öppnar man fönstret så blev det väldigt livat utifrån, dock tyckte jag fönstren isolerade bra mot ljud när de var stängda. Skulle kunna tänka mig att bo där igen om jag kommer med tåget.

Lite problem med incheckning, de hade inget registrerat tfn.nummer så de kunde inte skicka instruktioner, men det löste sig fint efter kontakt. I övrigt ett bra boende centralt i Gävle nära centralstationen, bra sovkomfort, bra frukost, ett prisvärt boende.

Dåligt städat rum med kvarglömda handduk och strumpir under en säng. Klibbig fläck på golvet i rummet. Frukosten var liten i utbud och trångt frukostrum pga många gäster. Lyhört mellan rummen.
