I was supposed to stay at the Tree Motel but they overbooked it and I had to go to their sister motel the El Rancho Motel. It's a pretty dumpy place but I needed a place to stay for the night. Incredibly overpriced for what this place looked like but, like I said, I needed a place to sleep for a few hours before going on a big hike. The worst part about the room was that the window blinds did not cover the entire window. There was about a 3"-4" gap from the bottom of the blinds to the window sill, allowing anyone walking by to look into the room. To "fix" this problem I had to use one of the bathroom's hand towels. I clipped one end of the hand towel to the bottom blind and then, because I didn't have a second clip, I scooted the mini-fridge and the microwave that sat upon it over to the other end of the hand towel to secure the towel against the window behind the microwave. By moving the mini-fridge the floor that had been under the min-fridge was now exposed and it was pretty dadgum filthy. On the plus side, the ice machine was right outside of my room and it provided a generous amount of ice for my cooler which was good.
