Amazing staff

It was an amazing stay the staff were friendly and so accommodating. The location was perfect and we had the best time. AK, one of the staff, was so kind and really took care of me and my son.

Reasonable place to stay in central Cambridge

Better than I thought it would be; a rather old hotel in need of a bit of a facelift, but clean with helpful staff and well-located; included breakfast and restaurant available, both good.

Reasonably priced but needs serious renovations

This hotel would have been impressive several decades ago. The place is massive, the room good sized, the restaurant and veranda have an amazing dize and were probably grand 50 years ago. It needs a lot of TLC to return it to its past glory. Carpets are so old and worn, a shame because they were probably good quality last century. Even the waiting staff at breakfast couldnt spare a smile and looked mainly unhappy to be there. When i saw "bath only" on the reservation, and it was repeated when we checked in, i couldn't have imagined it meant there would be no shower hose, and a plastic jar to get water from the bath tap to rinse off. Come on, invest on some renovations!

The desk manager Zara was very helpful and a gem, the hotel is older but has a cosy atmosphere. The in house dinning was good quality for reasonable prices. We would stay again.

First visit to Cambridge as a family and the hotel helped make the stay a wonderful experience. Situated in a fantastic position overlooking the river we had a prime view over Jesus Green and enjoyed the location very much.

Hotel was ok but wouldn't go back, location a little far out for us, I think the £18 carpark for one day was a rip off

Hotel Classico in the heart of Cambridge

We stayed one night at this beautiful, very classic hotel, perfect location for exploring downtown Cambridge. Parking at the hotel was cheap compared to other hotels. They gave us the option to leave our car in their parking lot once we had checked out. The continental breakfast was good ham and bread.

Whole place in need of refurbishment

Great location and from the outside looks impressive. Sadly internally hotel decor looking tired, there was no hot water on our 2nd day cold shower. Hotel car park expensive £18 daily.

Desperate for new mattresses

Arundel House has many things to recommend it - location along the canal and park, secure parking, onsite restaurant. The staff was professional and efficient. Unfortunately, they also had possibly the worst sleeping comfort I've ever encountered at a hotel. Wafer thin pillows and mattresses that were so worn out they simply collapsed into an asymmetrical crater beneath you. In fairness, given the overall rating, I suspect we simply got a room very much in need of updating. But it will.prevent me from staying there again. Other aspects of the hotel were very nice, but it's also good to be aware there is quite a lot of late night street noise at weekends from students in the park.

A friendly hotel in a good location to see the river and close to the university buildings.

One night stay.

Hotel is in a lovely position we had a double single room looking out over the park, it may be a little noisy for some but we enjoyed the view. Room was abit tied looking and was dirty around edges, could have done with a deep clean, lots to point out if you wanted to be fussy, but we only stayed the one night. Breakfast was continental hot alternative was extra to pay.

Great location but hazardous stairs throughout.

The hotel is very old and has accessibility problems which make it hazardous in places. There is no lift and the stairs are worn carpet, uneven and not fully hand railed. The plus to the hotel is its fabulous location and views. My room smelt of drains which wasn’t great. Staff were friendly

Yes it’s slightly shabby but a beautiful location across from the park and walkable to downtown. Comfortable spacious room. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and good value.

Lovely and good value. I had a single room with en suite, both very small but adequate, and a lovely view over the river and park. Easy regular bus into centre of you don't want to walk.
View from my room over the river and park
