But where is the lake on the pictures ?! The camping had so many reservations that we were surrounded by 3 tents (each one at 20 centimeters from our bungalow) and that it was impossible to park anywhere. More than that, the reception was unable to give us coins for the washing machine because it was to late (be careful if you want to use it !). It seems the camping cannot manage all its clients. Bonus point : we had access to a free concert that was given in the camping, which was appreciated by our teens.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. I had my own room, which was perfectly comfortable and quiet. The place is essentially a hostel and campground (in an urban setting). The yard was lively on the weekend evenings as there is an outdoor bar and BBQ service that locals also use. They serve pastries (small charge) and free coffee in the morning. The location is reasonably convenient, walkable to the old town sights. All-in-all a pleasant place to stay.

Room is clean. This is a hostel so if you prefer peace and quiet this place might not be for you. Sound travels as well, so I could hear people conversing under my window at 3am in the morning which disturbed my sleep. Earplugs are provided however by the accomodation. Free filter coffee provided each morning was great and the location is excellent. Only 2 toilets on my level between quite a few rooms as well (not ideal).

Great place to stay, easy walk to centre. Nice bar and eateries over the road. The site itself has a bar and offers bbq rental. The staff were very friendly especially Augustas who ran the bar/bbq and Leoranus on reception. Highly recommend this place

Friendly and pleasant hostel close to Old Town

I really enjoyed my stay at Downtown Forest Hostel. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and full of smiles. The hostel itself was a very pleasant place, with a nice sized kitchen, plenty of seating areas, laundry facilities and an outdoor seating and bar area. Free tea and coffee was served every morning. The hostel is easily reached by bus from Vilnius Train Station and is easily walked to from the Old Town. I found myself in a park right by the hostel whilst wandering the Old Town at leisure, it is that close. The hostel is clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend it for a stay in Vilnius. If I am ever in Vilnius again I will look to rebook here.

The nice ones: The staff (all of you!), nice friendly atmosphere, silence, home feeling, helpfulness, service, information, bus transport from/to Subačiaus street The less nice ones: There were some occasions when the toilets on my floor were busy, but no big deal to go downstairs or wait some minute. I had read other guest´s reviews about "too few wc" before my booking. Another beforehand knowledge the bed´s mattress could be thicker/higher. No big deal though. The surroundings: If you like modern architecture concepts, as a contrast to your cosy hostel and the old city centre of Vilnius, in Paupys (check street view...) you will find it. There is also a nice "full service" Rimi Express here, a few minutes walk from Downtown Forest. Also you might like to try the food court Paupio Turgus open 11-22 every day. Room 214
