room was clean and tidy, was basic single bed and toilet shower room. it is quite compact. but if your just looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night then it's ideal. plenty of shops, restaurants close by. I'll be staying here again

It did the job

I spent 4 nights while a tourist in Hamburg. Hotel Altan did the job for me. It's a couple of short blocks from the U-Bahn station and a 20 minute walk to the center. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was lively but my room was quiet.

Ok for the price

It was ok for the price,15 mins from u bahn, reasonably clean, shower etc, hadnt been swept under the bed in awhile, the pillow needs to be changed, the cover was clean but the pillow is really old, i was suprised that on checking out i was instructed to just leave the key in the room, the room couldnt be locked obviously so anyone could go into it and do God knows what after i left, there was alot of industrial sounds, like engine sounds even if you shut the window, now Hamburg is a working port city so.....

Ghetto hotel in loud area

This hotel does not look like in the pictures, in real life it’s old and sketchy and it is in a very loud area, you can hear all the yelling and cars when you’re trying to sleep with the window opened because It doesn’t have A/C or a fan during summer time, it does not have a reception like in the pictures and no one who can give info for tourists. Rooms are clean but toilet doesn’t flush very good

Helt okej hotell att bo på när vi skulle gå konsert i närheten. Enligt hemsidan skulke det finnas resturang med frukost, men så var inte fallet. Dock fanns ett flertal bagerier i området som sålde frukost.

Parken ist dort fast nicht möglich. Eigene mietbare Parkplätze gibt es nicht. Für den Mietpreis kann man nicht mehr erwarten. Daher wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Es ist halt etwas spartanisch und teilweise alt. Morgens ist es sehr früh schon laut.
