Quiet place in a busy place. Next to crowdy Icon Bali while not made you feel you are at the country side with only wind and birds. The villa is clean and greenery and lovely little lizard sunbathing. We attended the cooking class where basically it is a private class with a great chef taught us thru how balinese dishes are made. This gives us better cooking experience than those mass cooking schools. The villa manager was a nice guy that we felt the warmth and learnt the history of the villa.

The Pavilions is set back off the main road through Sanur, it is very quiet woth no noise from traffic. The villas have a good size pool about 7m long 2 m wide and 1.25 depth, so good for a short swim. The villa has a fridge and icebox handy to pop am icecream in. TV in the main room. A good size bath and outdoor shower. The bed has a mosquito net that you can pull around the bed. Joga was our excellent butler. The Jahe restaurant is great for dinner, we also had breakfast here a few mornings but you can get breakfast delivered to your room. Too many names to remember here sorry but stop by on an evening for a cocktail. The pool area has an all day light menu fabulous sandwiches. Tania was my spa lady where i had a great pedicure and foot massage. There is a small gift shop by reception which some lovely trinkets. Sanur itself has lots of nearby restaurants, the beach is about 800m there is no direct access. Once on the beach there is a paved area for a couple of miles that you can cycle or walk. (Bikes available to hire on the main road). Would i come back- yes i most certainty will. Thank you so much for looking after us so well.

The 2 bedroom villa was not what I expected. The lounge area was a seperate villa to the bedrooms. There was a sliding door that separated the bedrooms which did not lend a lot of privacy to either room. Bed was comfortable and villas were very clean. Little things let the Pavillions down. Worn out bath mats and towels. Refillable amenities. Not knowing the ingredients or what the product was that you are using. The breakfast was plentiful but again the small details were inconsistent. I ordered one morning the breakfast croissant consisting of scrambled eggs, ham and cheese but had asked for no scrambled egg. So essentially a ham and cheese croissant. This was delivered with ham only. When the cheese arrived after I asked ,Parmesan cheese was delivered. Next morning I ordered the eggs Benedict this time they forgot the spinach.Unfortunately during our 3 night stay on the last leg of our holiday which was meant for total relaxation by the pool and a slower pace in Sanur there was apparently an emergency plumbing issue in the villa right beside ours. For the whole time, there was jackhammering, banging,grinding and construction noise that woke us each morning, we could not eat breakfast in peace and the noise continued all day non stop until 6.00 at night. We had asked to speak to the manager every day and finally on our departure we spoke to her and there were apologies but our holiday had been ruined. Although it had some good points I feel you may be able to find better.

The people who work at Pavilions are 100% lovely. The resort is well-designed & well-maintained, with a vibe that encourages relaxation. Our rooms were well-appointed, and we loved the way they have innovated to ensure availability of fresh, filtered cold drinking water without the use of plastic. Everything was wonderful, with the stand-out feature being the friendliness of the people who work there.
