Great location in the heart of Historic Savannah, just steps away from many restaurants, shops, tours, etc. East Bay Street is right outside your window and the river front/River Street is just a block away. The unit was very clean and well furnished, with easy access from the dedicated parking space and gated courtyard. The king and queen bedrooms were very large and comfortable. The living room was cozy with a sleeper sofa to accommodate extra guests. Overall, we enjoyed our quick visit to Savannah and the Oglethorpe Lodge.

This home is in the most ideal location for visiting Savannah. It has close location to the Riverfront and easily walkable to all the city parks. We walked Bull street to Forsyth park and back down Abercorn street back to Leopold’s Ice cream and made many stops in between and it was a great day of exploring. The home was spacious and comfortable for our needs. The home was more quiet than I expected it to be being that close to the River Street nightlife. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Getaway

The Ogelthorpe Lodge was a perfect getaway as we celebrated our daughters SCAD graduation. It is central to everything downtown Savannah - Riverwalk, Drayton, Girl Scout Birthplace, restaurants, etc. The accommodation was up to date. The separate living room and large, full kitchen, two bathrooms, all made spending time with family practical. The AC worked which was also fantastic. Extra sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels as well as coffee, cream, and sugar were made available. Easy, simple check-in and personal parking space was a huge bonus! We LOVED our stay!

Comfort and Convenience

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite 903 and it was huge! So much room to spread out. There were comfortable touches everywhere including a book of dining suggestions and a courtyard area. A bonus is the location, we left our car in the included designated spot and walked everywhere. Very close proximity to River Street. Although there was a restaurant nearby, our suite was well insulated and we never heard any outdoor noise. The suite had two bathrooms! Water pressure was good and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

The property itself was excellent and no complaints. The negative aspect was not being able to access the property. The keycode number to enter the premises was received too late. I tried to telephone but a waiting time with 16 callers waiting in line was useless. I very nearly left to obtain alternative accommodation but for finding a worker on the premises.

We had a fantastic stay at the Oglethorpe Lodge! The location is unbeatable—right on Bay Street in the heart of Savannah. It's the perfect base for exploring the historic district, with everything just steps away. One of the showers in our unit was out of order during our stay, but the team at Oglethorpe Lodge communicated this up front and went above and beyond to make it right. We were not only kept informed, but they also proactively offered us a generous compensation of two free nights for a future stay. That level of customer service and accountability is rare and truly appreciated. The lodge itself is charming, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of character that fits right in with Savannah’s historic charm. We’re already looking forward to coming back and enjoying another stay. Highly recommend this place for the location, hospitality, and integrity of the management. What's not to love?! Everything about this stay was fantastic. Location feels like a hidden gem next to my favorite restaurant (Treylor Park) while remaining directly in the epicenter of river street area. Very walkable, exceptionally clean, SUPER safe (locked gate, locked front door, locked room door), very thoughtful ammenties, and great communication. It made me want to buy an apartment just like it in Savannah - I could live there!

I was in town for a week long conference. Oglethorpe Lodge was in a very convenient location and had everything needed for a stay that felt like home. The only drawback was the unit being a third floor walk-up. Other than that, everything was great! I would definitely stay here again!

Wundervoller Aufenthalt

Eine tolle Unterkunft im schönsten Teil Savannahs. Ein Bonus ist der Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Das spart alleine 50$/Tag für Parken. Man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen oder den kostenlosen DOT Bus benutzen. Die Unterkunft (902) liegt im 1.Stock und ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir können Oglethorp Lodge nur empfehlen. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass der Zugangscode nicht 24h vorher, sondern am Morgen des Buchungstages per E-Mail gesendet wird.
