Rooms are a little dated if you're comparing to inner city 5 star hotels, but it didn't bother us at all as it's what's outside the windows that captured our attention! This hotel is a real gem! Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and the staff is absolutely fantastic. They did everything to make our stay relaxing and worry free. The sunrises from our porch were spectacular and the private beach is like a little slice of heaven. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again in a heartbeat. On a scale of 1-10, I give them an 11!!

What a lovely find. Right on lake Rotorua with a private beach and jetty, this was an exceptional, though short, stay. Our host was charming. Fantastic breakfast and a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. In places, the property looked a little tired but overall, a real treat.

They had a water problem and placed us in an upgraded hotel called the Black Swan. Staff was wonderful and cooked me breakfast while waiting to accompany us to the Black Swan. Felt bad for them but the were wonderful and paid the $300 difference in the hotels.
